It will mark a record seventh NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles and the first time the Intuit Dome. The game was previously held in Los Angeles in 1963 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena; 1972 and 1983 at the Forum in Inglewood and 2004, 2011 and 2018 at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.

“The Intuit Dome promises to present a unique and innovative live basketball experience which will be an extraordinary venue for the NBA All-Star Game in 2026,” said Commissioner Adam Silver during a press conference at Intuit Dome, where he was joined by Clippers Chairman Steve Ballmer, Clippers President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr.
The $2 billion Intuit Dome is set to open in August 2024 as the new home of the Clippers, who worked in collaboration with the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission to bring the 2026 All-Star Weekend to Los Angeles.
“We are building Intuit Dome to house and showcase the best basketball players in the world and we are honored they will all be under our roof for NBA All-Star,” said Ballmer. “Along with Inglewood and Los Angeles, we thank the NBA for bringing the league’s marquee event to Intuit Dome in 2026.”
The 2023 All-Star Game was held in Salt Lake City and this year’s game will be in Indianapolis, Indiana. The NBA earlier this season announced the 2025 All-Star Game will also be in California in San Francisco, home of the Golden State Warriors.
The 2026 All-Star Weekend starts Friday, February 13 with the NBA Rising Stars with rookies and second-year players facing off. The following night is All-Star Saturday Night with the skills challenge, 3-point contest and dunk contest before the All-Star Game on February 15.
The NBA will host several events at venues throughout Los Angeles and Inglewood, including at Kia Forum and the Los Angeles Convention Center. These events include NBA All-Star Practice, Celebrity Game and Fan Fest with basketball programming and entertainment as well as up-close access to NBA players, legends and celebrities. The league will also have a full schedule of NBA Cares events during the weekend through partnerships with schools, local and national nonprofit organizations.
