The Erie Sports Commission has hired Chris Rosato Jr. as the organization’s events and marketing manager, charging him with assisting in attracting and servicing events supported by the Erie Spots Commission and overseeing the organization’s brand image.
Rosato has worked with the commission in various capacities since 2019, when he started as a marketing and communications intern. After graduating from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2019, he worked with the organization as a part-time special projects assistant.
“We couldn’t be happier to bring Chris back into the organization on a full-time basis,” Erie Sports Commission Executive Director Mark Jeanneret said. “Between his experience working with us and directly with event organizers, I am confident that Chris can help us grow to support more events while still providing the same high level of service that our current events receive.”
Since graduating from Edinboro, Rosato has worked as a public address and play-by-play announcer for various events throughout Erie County and in Mercyhurst University’s athletic communications office. Rosato has been a PIAA sports official for baseball and football since 2019 and serves on the Erie County Football Officials Association’s Scholarship Committee.
“I’m excited to dive into working with the Erie Sports Commission and Mark and Ben again,” Rosato said. “Erie is a terrific destination that I chose to relocate to and I love having the opportunity to showcase it to others.”
