The Hawaii Tourism Authority and Hawaii Convention Center have signed agreements with three national sports organizations to host futsal, basketball and volleyball tournaments at the center’s new sports courts, located in the Kamehameha Exhibit Hall. The IOC’s Coordination Commission was in Los Angeles this week for a three-day visit to review selected venues and track the progress of the @LA28 Games. The tours included the Rose Bowl, Intuit Dome and several venues in Long Beach.
The @HCHSA has appointed Ryan Walsh as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Janis Burke. Walsh is currently the chief executive officer and executive director of the Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation, a position he has held since 2018.
