Blast has announced the opening of its RFP process for hosting opportunities in 2026 and 2027 with plans to host up to 20 arena events in 2026 and another 25 live events in 2027.
Blast will have 14 events in 2025 spanning four continents. In the years to follow, it will be organizing events around Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Fortnite, Rocket League and Rainbow Six. Interested destinations can get more information by contacting hostcities@blast.tv.
“Esports is one of the fastest-growing entertainment industries in the world and Blast has a proven record of delivering award-winning arena events that captivate millions of fans online and thousands in person,” said James Woollard, Blast director of market development. “Our goal is to partner with destinations in a long-term and meaningful way and to drive tangible financial, political, social and destination marketing benefits for our host markets.”
Blast is one of the world’s largest esports rights holders. It says events see up to 85 percent of event attendees travel from outside the host city, generating up to $100 million in estimated economic impact per event and up to 175 million views online.
“We also want to bring esports closer to more fanbases across the globe, reaching new regions and allowing more fans than ever to watch and enjoy live Blast events,” Woollard said. “Our repeat events and return to host destinations shows that we are delivering real value and meaningful impacts for cities, leading to strategic, multi-year deals.”
