Bengals Announce Paycor as Stadium Naming Rights Sponsor
The previous Paul Brown Stadium will now be called Paycor Stadium for 16 years
Posted On: August 9, 2022 By :After 22 years as Paul Brown Stadium, the home of the defending AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals is now Paycor Stadium.
Paycor, a human capital management company based in Cincinnati for more than 30 years, has signed a 16-year deal for the naming rights to the stadium. The Bengals already had a partnership with the company, as Paycor has served as the team’s official and exclusive HR software provider since 2018.
“Through a strategic partnership with our hometown team, the Cincinnati Bengals, we are beyond thrilled to introduce Paycor Stadium to the world,” said Raul Villar Jr., chief executive officer of Paycor. “As Paycor continues to grow and reach customers throughout the U.S., our mission of empowering leaders to build winning teams perfectly aligns with the defending AFC champions. As longtime fans, this is a big point of employee pride and we are honored to support our local team and build on the legacy of Paul Brown.”
In 1968, Paul Brown co-founded and was the first coach of the Bengals. He retired from coaching in 1975 but remained the Bengals’ team president until his death in 1991. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1967.
“This is a move that I think my father would have agreed to,” said Bengals President Mike Brown. “He was always for what is best for the football team. This partnership allows the Bengals to continue to compete at the highest level in the NFL and exemplifies our long-term commitment to the community.”
The Bengals are the second AFC North team this offseason to announce a new stadium name. Heinz Field in Pittsburgh is now known as Acrisure Stadium after the Steelers agreed to a 15-year deal with the financial services company.
“It was important to find a naming rights partner that strongly aligns with the Bengals brand,” said Bengals Executive Vice President Katie Blackburn. “Paycor is a local company on the rise that shares our commitment to building winning teams. We are proud to support Paycor’s growth and strengthen the Cincinnati business community with this partnership.”
