Bay Area Host Committee Partners with San Francisco Travel Association
The two entities will focus on the massive sporting events coming to the area
Posted On: October 29, 2024 By :San Francisco Travel Association, the official destination marketing organization for the city and county of San Francisco, have announced a partnership with the Bay Area Host Committee that will see San Francisco Travel have an executive representative seat on the BAHC Advisory Board.
In partnership with BAHC, San Francisco Travel is spearheading efforts to execute planned sports events in the region. This partnership builds upon events the BAHC will focus on in the lead-up to hosting the NBA All-Star Game in 2025, Super Bowl LX in February 2026 and the 2026 FIFA World Cup that summer.
“San Francisco Travel is more than a partner, they are the ultimate city resource working to promote San Francisco as one of the world’s premier tourism destinations,” said Zaileen Janmohamed, president and chief executive officer of BAHC. “It’s an honor for the Bay Area Host Committee to help solidify San Francisco as the epicenter of sport culture with three major global sporting events taking place in the Bay in the next two years.”
The city has already announced activities and activations heading into NBA All-Star 2025. The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s “Get in the Game: Sports, Art, Culture” exhibit, along with six sports-related companion exhibitions, features roughly 200 objects and runs through February 18, 2025. The Museum of the African Diaspora will debut a “Love + Basketball” exhibit timed to next year’s NBA All-Star Game on view from February 5 to March 2, 2025.
