.@TheUFL has announced the launch of its first expansion process for prospective markets looking to bring spring football to their communities, prioritizing fan interest, existing sports culture, geography and population and venue and infrastructure.
One of the key initiatives for Sophie Goldschmidt when she took over @usskiteam nearly three years ago was to bring more major events to the U.S. and this season is the culmination of that goal with 12 FIS events in the 2024–2025 season on American soil.
The FIVB elected Fabio Azevedo as its new president at the 39th FIVB World Congress in Porto with American Hugh McCutcheon named as secretary general. The pair detailed some of their future goals for the international federation on Tuesday.
Alina Hudak, who has worked in Miami-Dade County for more than three decades in a variety of city and county departments, will be the new president and chief executive officer for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Miami Host Committee.
