Anthony Terling has been promoted to sports development director of Auburn-Opelika Tourism in Alabama.
Terling was previously the sports and event development manager for Auburn-Opelika Tourism for the past six-plus years. In his new role, Terling will oversee the organization’s sports development initiatives, drive innovation and build on the strong partnerships within the sports community.
“Anthony’s leadership has been a driving force in the growth of sports tourism in the Auburn-Opelika area,” said Brooke Kastner, vice president of Auburn-Opelika Tourism. “We are excited to see how he will continue to strengthen our sports development efforts and help us reach new heights.”
Karen Gilmore, who has 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, has been promoted to experience manager and will now lead the event and service team. She previously held the role of service and event coordinator since February 2022, and before coming to Auburn-Opelika Tourism, Gilmore spent over a decade with PCH Hotels and Resorts.
