Atlanta Track Club has announced it will host the 2025 USA Track & Field Half Marathon Championships as part of Publix Atlanta Marathon Weekend on March 1–2, 2025.
The championships, to be run as part of the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon on March 2, will see the top three men and women finishers qualify for Team USA at the 2025 World Road Running Championships in San Diego, September 26–28.
“On March 2, it will be five years almost to the day since Atlanta Track Club hosted the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials as part of the biggest weekend of road racing the city has ever seen,” said Rich Kenah, Atlanta Track Club chief executive officer. “The people of Running City USA came out to support the Olympic Marathon Trials in astonishing numbers; this time, they can run right along with the athletes who are vying for a chance to represent their country.”
With more than 37,000 members, Atlanta Track Club is the second-largest running organization in the United States and directs more than 50 events each year including the AJC Peachtree Road Race, the largest 10K event in the world. The field of professionals at the marathon weekend will compete for a first-place prize of $20,000 for both men and women, topping a championships-only purse of at least $110,000.
