ASM Global has selected Andy Gorchov as general manager of Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the home of the NFL’s Raiders and host of the 2024 Super Bowl.
In his role as general manager, Gorchov will oversee day-to-day operations at the 65,000-capacity venue. Along with the Raiders, Allegiant Stadium is home for UNLV Football and also hosts a variety of high-profile events including Super Bowl LVIII earlier this year, the 2022 and 2023 Pro Bowl, the Pac-12 Championship, Las Vegas Bowl and college football showcase games in the regular season.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Andy’s caliber,” said Doug Thornton, executive vice president at ASM Global. “His decades of in-depth experience will prove invaluable as he oversees more than 6,000 jobs and manages the world’s top events that bring in hundreds of millions of dollars in economic impact to the region annually. We are confident that there is no one more qualified or better positioned to take the helm at this powerhouse of a venue.”
In addition to his time as general manager of Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Gorchov also led State Farm Stadium in Arizona for several years, which included the hosting of Super Bowl LVII in 2023, NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2017 and 2024, international soccer and hundreds of other major concerts, events and activities.
“The Las Vegas Raiders are pleased to welcome someone as entrenched in the sports and entertainment industry as Andy,” said Sandra Douglass Morgan, president of the Las Vegas Raiders. “ASM Global has been a trusted partner of the Raiders for years and we are confident under Andy’s care that Allegiant Stadium will remain one of the greatest sports and entertainment venues in the country. We look forward to working with Andy and the ASM Global team to continue creating the unparalleled experiences that locals and visitors have come to expect in Las Vegas.”
