Allegiant Stadium to Host 2027 Hall of Fame Series with Arizona, Duke, Indiana and Kansas

The venue will host Arizona, Duke, Indiana and Kansas ahead of 2028 Final Four

Arizona will play against Duke and Indiana will tip off against Kansas at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in the 2027 Hall of Fame Series on November 12, the first time basketball will be played in the stadium that will host a future NCAA Men’s Final Four.

Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders and Super Bowl LVIII, will host the 2028 NCAA Men’s Final Four, with the Hall of Fame Series acting as a dress rehearsal of sorts. Allegiant Stadium will also host the 2027 College Football Playoff title game. The announcement was made over the weekend by Position Sports, in partnership with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

“College hoops at Allegiant Stadium will be electric,” said Steve Hill, LVCVA president and chief executive officer. “We couldn’t imagine a better way to kick off the lead up to the Final Four than in Las Vegas with Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Series.”

The four participating teams have a combined 15 national championships and more than 35 College Basketball Hall of Fame members. Duke and Arizona have played 10 times with the Wildcats holding a 6–4 edge. The teams will meet this season in Tucson, Arizona, on November 22. Indiana and Kansas have met 16 times, with the teams each winning eight contests.

“I am excited to support the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame doubleheader to be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in November 2027,” NCAA Senior Vice President of Men’s Basketball Dan Gavitt said. “Starting the college basketball season where it will end on the Road to the 2028 Final Four in Las Vegas is a rare opportunity to celebrate the game.”

The Hall of Fame Series is a collection of multi-game, singular events. The inaugural series took place in 2023 in Las Vegas, Charlotte, San Antonio, Toronto and Phoenix. The series in 2024 has stops in Las Vegas (November 4), Phoenix (November 14), Baltimore (November 15), and New York (December 14).
