Alan Rothenberg has been named interim chairman of the Los Angeles Sports Council. Having served as the organization’s chairman from 2003-2011, Rothenberg will serve as the interim chairman until the Sports Council’s regularly scheduled board elections in the fall.
Rothenberg replaces Scott London, who resigned from his position earlier this month as chairman of the Sports Council board of directors. According to reports, London is being investigated by federal authorities for allegedly providing confidential information to a stock trader regarding some clients of his former employer, accounting firm KPMG.
