The 2026 Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament is headed to the Greater Atlanta area, bringing the longest-running Division I collegiate conference women’s basketball tournament to Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia.
The 2026 edition, set for March 4–8, will be the 49th in league history and will mark just the sixth different neutral site to host the event.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament to Gas South Arena and Gwinnett County,” said Stan Hall, president and CEO of the Gwinnett Convention & Visitors Bureau. “This is an incredible opportunity to showcase our state-of-the-art venue and the vibrant community that makes this region so special. We are excited to bring such a prestigious event to our fans and to continue elevating Gwinnett County as a premier destination for sports and entertainment. The energy and enthusiasm surrounding this tournament will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on our community.”
The 13,000-seat Gas South Arena — located 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta — is home to the East Coast Hockey League’s Atlanta Gladiators, the National Lacrosse League’s Georgia Swarm and the Pro Volleyball Federation’s Atlanta Vibe.
The newly renovated Gas South Convention Center will serve as the home of ACC Fan Fest during the tournament.
“We are excited to host the 2026 Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament at Gas South Arena and to engage with the community in showcasing our exceptional student-athletes, coaches, programs and institutions,” said ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips. “Women’s basketball is thriving, and we are delighted to bring the longest-running collegiate conference women’s basketball tournament to a new, state-of-the-art venue in our region, further enhancing the incredible success we have achieved with our partners in Greensboro.”
The ACC Women’s Tournament has been played in Greensboro, North Carolina, for 25 of the past 26 seasons with the one exclusion being in Conway, South Carolina, in 2017.
Prior to Greensboro, the tournament was held in Charlotte from 1997–1999 after being held at Winthrop Coliseum in Rock Hill, South Carolina, from 1992–1996. The first neutral site was Fayetteville, North Carolina, from 1983–1991. The first five ACC Tournaments (1978–1982) were held at campus sites.
