2025 IndyCar Schedule Revealed; All Races Heading to Fox
Seventeen races to be held at all regular tracks
Posted On: June 13, 2024 By :The 2025 IndyCar Series schedule will be almost the same as this year’s racing calendar with a few minor changes, including the previous All-Star Race at The Thermal Club in California becoming a points race.
The season begins March 2 in St. Petersburg, Florida, and concludes August 31 in Nashville. Milwaukee will have one race in the 2025 schedule instead of a doubleheader as it is this year.
The 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge takes place on Sunday, May 25. Within the schedule was IndyCar’s official announcement that Fox Sports will broadcast all races on national television, giving the network the Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR’s Daytona 500 each year.
“Adding the iconic Indianapolis 500 and delivering the entire NTT IndyCar Series to the Fox Sports roster fits perfectly within our model of teaming with sports’ largest events and best-in-class brands,” Fox Sports Chief Executive Officer and Executive Producer Eric Shanks said. “We’re honored to be the new broadcast home to ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,’ an incredibly special event to everyone at FOX Sports.”
Terms of the deal were not revealed but Fox promised all the races would be on national broadcast, as well as qualifying for the Indy 500. NBC Sports had moved coverage of all practices and qualifying sessions to its streaming app, Peacock, and many of IndyCar’s races have been on cable.
“This represents unrivaled exposure and provides an unparalleled growth opportunity for the most competitive and entertaining motorsport on the planet,” IndyCar Chief Executive Officer Mark Miles said. “Fox Sports is a fully committed partner, ready to bring engaging and technically innovative coverage to millions of fans across the country while also promoting IndyCar thoroughly across all its platforms.”
